A delegation from the German Consulate General in Karachi, led by Mr. Rüdiger Lotz – Council General and Mr. Tobias Krause, the Head of Division of the German Federal Foreign Office, visited the Sindh Archives Department. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Director – Syed Muhammad Mehdi Shah, Assistant Director – Syed Tanveer Abbas Zaidi and Section incharges. The visitors were given a comprehensive tour of the various sections of the department, including the Exhibition Gallery, Conservation Laboratory, Newseum and Stack Area. Each section highlighted the department’s commitment to preserving and conserving historically significant materials. The delegation was impressed by the department’s efforts and praised the staff for their exceptional work in preserving the historical records of Sindh Province. They commended the department’s conservation, preservation, and documentation cataloging practices, highlighting the importance of these efforts in maintaining the province’s cultural heritage.
