Mr. Abdul Majid Bhurgri, the founder of Sindhi Computing, paid a visit to the Sindh Archives on January 18, 2024. He was accompanied by Mr. Roshan Ali Kanasro, the Director of Sindh Archives, as well as Mr. Amar Fayaz Buriro, Director of the Abdul Majid Bhurgri Institute of Language Engineering, Mr. Ravinder L. Jha, Mr. Muhammad Yousuf Khan (Senior Research Officer), Mr. Akash Datwani (Archivist), Mr. Hassan Jamil Abbasi (Microfilming Assistant/I.T Incharge), and Mr. Arsalan Farooq Shaikh (System Administration).
During the visit, Mr. Bhurgri expressed his delight at the services and hard work of the entire team of officials and officers at Sindh Archives. He particularly commended the Conservation Laboratory and provided insights into the services offered by the institution for preserving and extending the lifespan of valuable archival material. Additionally, Mr. Bhurgri offered his expertise and suggestions to further enhance and strengthen the Sindh Archives.
The Director of Sindh Archives then presented the institution’s publications to Mr. Bhurgri after the brief visit.
