We are thrilled to share that Sindh Archives had the honor of attending a prestigious workshop on Pakistan’s history, Organized by Sana Haroon, Professor of History and Asian Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston, United States and Zoya Sameen Assistant Professor of History Aga Khan University Karachi. The event, hosted at Aga Khan University, brought together Academics, Researchers, and history enthusiasts to delve into the rich and diverse history of Pakistan. Representing of Sindh Archives, S.M Mehdi Shah – Director Archives, Syed Tanveer Abbas Zaidi – Assistant Director, Mr. Akash Datwani – Archivist, Mr. Arsalan Shaikh – System Administrator and Hassan Jamil Abbasi – Microfilming Assistant participated in the workshop. Mr. Akash Datwani gave an insightful presentation on the Archives and collections preserved at Sindh Archives, showcasing the heritage and history of the region This workshop provided an incredible platform to exchange knowledge, foster collaborations, and emphasize the importance of preserving historical records for future generations.
